We want you to love everything you order from Kijicha — but if something’s not quite right, we’re here to help.

• Changed your mind?
  You have 14 days from receiving your order to return any unopened tea or unused merchandise. For food safety reasons, we’re unable to accept returns on opened tea.

• For returns initiated due to change of mind, a restocking fee of 10% may apply to cover handling and repacking. We do not charge restocking fees for faulty or incorrect orders.

• Item damaged or faulty?
  Let us know within 7 days of delivery, including a photo of the issue, and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.

• Return Shipping
  If we’ve made a mistake with your order, we’ll happily cover the return postage. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, we kindly ask that you cover the return shipping costs.
  
  
• Refunds
  Once we’ve received your return, we’ll process your refund to your original payment method within 14 days.

• Refund Fees: Please be aware that for refunds, especially those processed through payment services like PayPal, the customer will be responsible for any transaction fees imposed by the payment processor. These fees are typically non-refundable and will be deducted from the total refund amount.

• Bitcoin Refunds: If you paid with Bitcoin via the Lightning Network, your refund will be issued in GBP (British Pounds) based on the order GBP value shown on your receipt at the time of purchase. Refunds this way will be processed via bank transfer to the original purchaser. We’ll confirm your details before issuing the refund. Our usual refund conditions apply — just like if you paid in GBP.

If you’re using a Lightning wallet (like Wallet of Satoshi, Muun, Phoenix, or Breez), here's how to complete your checkout:

✅ Step-by-Step Instructions

1. At checkout, choose “Pay with Bitcoin” as your payment method.
   (Note: We only accept Lightning payments – no on-chain BTC at this time.)
   
2. Click “Review Order.”
   You’ll land on a confirmation page with your order number.
   
3. On that page, scroll down and click the “Complete Payment” button under the heading:
   Review and pay using BTCPay Server!
   
4. This will take you to a BTCPay Server invoice page, where a Lightning invoice will appear.
   If the invoice doesn't appear right away, please wait 5–10 seconds.

5. Open your Lightning wallet, scan the invoice QR code, and complete the payment.
   
6. Once payment is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation email from us — and we’ll get your tea ready to ship 🍵
